Kim Pennington
Kim Pennington has served as our registered dietician for over 30 years. Kim is very conscientious and has a genuine sense of concern for the nutritional needs and wellbeing of all our residents. She diligently works with our staff on trainings and refreshers for preparing and serving residents’ meals.
Always willing to collaborate with the team to do what is best for the resident.
She makes herself available to us at all hours – often at Holy Angels late at night and on weekends – finishing up those needed evaluations and goals
Kim will make herself available to teach the community group home residents the importance of making healthy choices when selecting snacks and at mealtimes. She provided an educational program for our LifeChoices participants. It made nutrition fun and one Holy Angels resident who is totally fruit and veggie phobic was willing to try a fruit smoothie after Kim’s class.
Kim is patient with parents who have emotional responses to nutrition and feeding issues for their children. She is gentle yet direct and has led us through some challenging situations resulting in the best nutrition possible yet showing sensitivity to the families.
Through her caring heart Kim has truly made a difference in the lives of our residents.
