HOLY ANGELS VOLUNTEERS

It’s been said that volunteers are not paid – not because they are worthless, but because they are priceless.

At Holy Angels, we are indebted to the numerous volunteers who have supported our ministry and have played integral roles in a wide variety of areas. Working with residents, assisting administrative staff, performing landscape work, bringing a furry friend for Pet Therapy with residents, participating in activities at Camp Hope, assisting at our businesses (Cherubs Cafe, Spruced Goose Station, Cotton Candy Factory) or an art or music therapy activity – the opportunities for volunteers to give of hands and hearts have been plentiful at Holy Angels.

Whether it’s for an hour or as an annual service project for your school, business or organization, we invite you to get involved in our volunteer community. And we thank you in advance for your hands and your heart.

HOLY ANGELS VOLUNTEEN PROGRAM

Our Volunteens are one of our favorite parts of summer. They always bring enthusiasm and energy that’s contagious.

Qualified young people 13 to 17 years of age are able to participate in our Volunteen program after school and during the summer. The program provides a unique character and self-esteem building opportunity for teens to offer helping hands to residents and staff. Reading stories, assisting in administrative offices and classrooms, decorating for special events, assisting residents with wheelchairs, opportunities to receive hands-on training and experience in health care, education, special education and philanthropy abound at Holy Angels.

Service Groups

HOLY ANGELS SERVICE GROUPS

On-site, hands-on work projects are available for your group, organization or workplace. These include a variety of activities (such as wheelchair cleaning, vehicle cleaning, yard work, window cleaning and more), as well as involvement with our Creative Arts programs (Horticulture Therapy, recreational activities and social events). All efforts are helpful and needed, but may require coordination and supervision under OSHA guidelines, may be limited to certain seasons and may require training to assist our residents.
