Survey Successes Earning Exceptional Outcomes

announcing carf three-year Accreditation

“No Recommendations” was a recurring comment by the two surveyors from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) following their three-day visit to campus in April. CARF is an international, nonprofit accrediting body that establishes resident-focused standards to help organizations measure and improve the quality of their programs and services. In every case, the survey team gave a perfect score with over 1,300 possibilities for recommendations. We are in the top 3% of all programs surveyed internationally.

“Being in the top three percent of all organizations surveyed is a true testament to our exceptional staff and their dedication to our residents each and every day.”

- Regina Moody, President Emeritus

This survey team evaluates the following six service categories:

  • Community Housing

  • Community Housing (Children and Adolescents)

  • Community Housing (Medically Fragile)

  • Community Integration

  • Organizational Employment Services

  • Governance Standards Applied (elective component)

This recognition is the fifth consecutive Three-Year Accreditation that the international accrediting body has given to Holy Angels. This decision represents the highest level of accreditation that can be given.

icf program receives perfect survey rating

A team of three surveyors from the NC Department of Health & Human Services inspected our five Intermediate Care Facilities (ICF) group homes on campus for two days in May. During the process, the survey team looks to ensure our residents receive active programming and our programs and services are in compliance with all ICF standards.

“For our staff members, this more than just a job, it is a mission.”

- Regina Moody, President

The Department of Health & Human Services reviewed and analyzed over 15 areas in the 48-hour survey. This program is comprised of 48 residents on our campus these homes include:

  • Belhaven Group Home

  • Moody Place Group Home

  • Fox Run Group Homes - Oakcrest, Pinehaven, Brookview

For the fourth consecutive year the Intermediate Care Facilities (IFC) program received a perfect survey rating with over 175 opportunities to receive deficiency tags. This is a rare and uncommon occurrence.
